Role: Team Leader
Location: Swindon
Salary: GBP32,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Basic hours are 39? per week however the individual will work 42? hours per week.

This large automotive manufacturer is seeking a Team Leader to join their bustling team in Swindon.
Main Duties:

- To assist in the development of establishing targets/goals for the designated departmental areas, ensuring all targets are met in a consistent manner.
- To set and agree delivery targets with schedulers and outside suppliers. Reschedule and brief designated departmental areas with any relevant changes.
- To report on a daily basis all damaged assets e.g. non-conforming parts or packing to Operations Managers in the form of KPI's.
- To assist in the control of absence in line with the company absence procedure. Ensuring company % absence figures are controlled, ensuring completion of return to work interviews are carried out in detail within the correct timeframe and any appropriate follow up action is completed.
- Maintain daily records of departmental performance in the form of updated KPI's. Reporting to Site Managers any variances.
- Ensure new associates are integrated into the departmental area. Delivering health & safety induction and full training of operational processes is received in a timely manner. Maintaining all training records accurately and to record activities completed.
- Ensure delegation of job roles is rotated in fair, objective and consistent manner.
- Ensure all operations equipment is maintained in a fully operational manner to ensure timely delivery of business requirements, e.g. MHE/scanners/IT equipment, etc. Report any areas of concern without delay to site managers.
- To assist in setting probationary periods to monitor performance of new associates, assessing against required company standards. To recommend, based on objective assessments and valuation, associates progression or development within the business.
- To be capable of conducting with Associate Services support disciplinary hearings up to verbal warning level.
- Ensure departmental areas are fully compliant in regards of health & safety legislation. Ensure accident reports are completed to company standards and submitted in the correct timeframes.
- Ensure company working ethics and culture is promoted in the correct manner to all associates and outside suppliers working or visiting our sites.

Key Skills

- Educated at GCSE/O Level or similar
- Experience of working within a busy warehousing environment.
- Experience of agreeing and setting targets.
- Experience of supervising teams.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven organisation skills.
- Effective problem solver.
- Ability to motivate in a multi-cultural and diverse team.
- Effective time management.
- Good Microsoft Word, Excel skills & Powerpoint.
