We have a new exciting opportunity, not to be missed! At Grundon we are currently looking for a Marketing Assistant to come and join our team based in Colnbrook. The successful candidate will join us on a full time, 1 year (53 week) contract placement and will receive a competitive salary.

Please note that this opportunity is only open to those studying for a Marketing, Advertising or Business related degree. We are looking for an undergraduate to start mid-July 2017. The role is full time working Monday to Friday 09.00am to 5.00pm.

We are the largest family-owned waste management company in the UK and we care as much about our employees as we do the environment. For the past seven years Grundon has offered a one year placement within the Marketing Department. This year provides an excellent opportunity to apply your learning to the real world and develop your skills in order to return to university to complete your final year, hopefully gaining a good degree as a consequence.

- E-marketing: Assist the Marketing Communications Manager in development of e-marketing solutions appropriate to the waste management sector using the company's specialist e-marketing software.

- Social Media: Develop and implement marketing messages for the company's social media sites and the planning and scheduling of social media posts.

- Inbound Marketing: Use the company's inbound marketing platform to help attract visitors to the company website, social media and events, before qualifying them as sales leads and passing them to the Sales Teams to close.

- Market Research: Undertake desk-based research into new markets as briefed by the Marketing Communications Manager or Sales & Marketing Director.

- Media Relations: Identify suitable subjects, research and write press releases. Build and maintain a list of relevant trade magazines and local newspapers.

- Marketing Performance: Monitor the effectiveness of all customer-facing activity. Analyse results and develop recommendations for performance improvement.

- Market Plans and Reports: Liaise with colleagues in other departments (e.g. Sales, Operations, Finance) to ensure that marketing plans and reports requested by the Marketing Communications Manager are produced in a timely manner and to a high standard.

- Website: Assist with keeping the company's website up-to-date at all times.

- Budgeting: Request and compare quotes before purchasing marketing materials, recording and tracking actual cost against budgeted expenditure.
