Library Assistant

Salary: Between £19,593.36 - £21,839.17 p.a. (depending on experience) plus benefits

Hours: Full-time (36.25 hours per week)

St John's College is looking to appoint a Library Assistant to contribute to the overall work of the College Library by providing a front-of-house service to Library users and assisting in the efficient day to day running of the Library.

The successful candidate will be educated to at least A-level or equivalent, will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and have previous experience of Library or similar work. Computer literacy is essential and the ability to develop a thorough working knowledge of all Working Library collections - particularly those drawing on information technology - offered by the Library to its users.

The role requires initiative and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.  You will possess good administrative and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
