St John's College School is seeking to appoint a reliable and practical Kitchen Assistant to start as soon as possible, pending the necessary pre-recruitment checks.

In this role, you will be required to assist in the daily duties of the kitchen which will include salad and sandwich preparation, milk run to classes, lunch service, daily cleaning tasks, washing up duties, putting away deliveries, maintaining stock levels in the staff room and cleaning of the dining room, amongst other duties.

We are looking for someone reliable with excellent hygiene standards.  You will have impeccable timekeeping and will be a team player with a ‘can do' attitude.  You will be expected to be willing to help others out in the team as and when needed.  You will be required to use your own initiative in a busy environment, whilst keeping standards high at all times.  The successful candidate will be expected to participate in all necessary training required to fulfil the role.

Hours:                  Generally 30 hours per week allocated according to the needs of the Rota.  It is expected that the usual hours of work will be 7.30 to 2.00pm, with a half hour (unpaid) break; however, there will be a need for some flexibility.

Remuneration:    Annual Salary will be £12,334.00 per annum

Holiday:               25 days holiday per year, plus such public holidays as are taken by the School (unless these are classed as working days).  Holiday to be taken when the School is not in session.
