Head of Risk Management - National Wealth Management Firm

SLM Search and Selection are currently working on behalf of a national wealth management firm that began it's industry journey 27 years ago. They offer a comprehensive portfolio of professional and independent financial advice services to companies, individuals and partnerships. Their office in Birmingham are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Compliance Manager to join their organisation and oversee the Risk Management Team, performing the CF10 responsibility and functions. Key Responsibilities: Develop and utilise a strategy for the Risk Management Team in order to protect the company's clients and employees Liaise with the FCA on a daily basis and analise all communications in order to operate within the regulations at all times Prepare Risk Management Reports including MLO Reports, Risk Management Plans and Regular Management Team Reporting Oversee the Risk Management Team and Training and Competence function in all aspects of training, coaching and ensuring that tasks are completed within the regulatory framework while developing staff skills Ensure the appropriate maintanence of risk management records and the handling of all regulated complaints Key Experience: Diploma Qualified with an in-depth knowledge of FCA rules and procedures Strong leadership and delegation skills Ideally holds the AF3/G60 qualification as well as J07 and/or AF6
