Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical or Electrical bias

Salary: GBP38,000-GBP65,000 per annum dependant on technical skills & experience

Positions Available: Static permanent night or day shifts available

Your Profile

My client is looking for a multi skilled engineer with qualifications in mechanical and/or electrical engineering as well as experience working in multi skilled environments. You should be comfortable working in a food, FMCG, packaging or general manufacturing environment. You should be a good team player, as well as a competent and pragmatic decision maker for when you are working independently. My client is looking for someone with experience in responding to breakdowns, PPM's, continuous improvement and knowledge project work for future development

The Role

As Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for reacting to breakdowns and maintenance during production, as well as using your time effectively to ensure all PPM's are dealt with. You will be part of an experienced Multi-Skilled team of engineers, and so you should have excellent interpersonal as well as good communicative skills. You will also be expected to work on your own initiative and so you will need to be an innovative problem solver.

Required skills:

- Machining
- Mechanical Fitting
- Electrical Installation
- Wiring, including panels
- Welding/Soldering
- Fault finding
- Knowledge of PLC's
- Maintenance

You will have to maintain equipment such as conveyor, mixers cookers, cutting machines, moulding equipment and all associated plant and ancillary equipment
