Construction Manager

About the role
Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Construction Manager to join our Major Projects - Ground Engineering team to work in Basingstoke, with travel to various projects around the UK.

What you'll be doing
As, Construction Manager, you will:

• Control and manage the delivery of the project(s) to the overall project programme requirements
• Support the Site Supervisor to effectively manage the site operational teams
• Build a good working relationship with the Plant Department to ensure that the correct plant and tools are selected and delivered to the project sites in a timely manner and that they are fit for purpose
• Work closely with the whole process team (to include operations, preconstruction, commercial, plant, business development and design), to ensure an effective and efficient project delivery
• Check and sign off all costs, (including hours and bonus) associated with the labour force in line with the company procedures and standards

Who we're looking for
You will:

• Have previous experience of managing operative resources (plant and labour) within the piling and ground engineering sector
• Have the ability to plan and organise the safe and efficient delivery of large scale rotary bored piling works
• Be required to have sound presentational skills and the ability to originate and develop new and innovative processes across Ground Engineering
• Be capable of communicating ideas and concepts effectively to both their own team and external, particularly operational, parties
• Be confident in your ability to lead, influence and communicate with others
