The role is Home based in the Cardiff, Bristol or Swansea areas with travel to customer sites in the region

The opportunity has arisen for an experienced Master Technician or Service Manager to join a world leading Automotive Warranty & Asset Protection company, as their Regional Claims Assessor for the Bristol, Cardiff & Swansea areas and Candidates do need to live within easy distance of those areas.

Reporting into the Field Manager in the UK, you will be based from home and then travelling to customer sites across your region, using your solid technical motor vehicle diagnostics & repair experience to carry out Used Vehicle Audits & Reviews, Assess Mechanical Claims, Vehicle Accident Damage, Vehicle Road Testing, Dealership Inspections & Inspections for Third Parties.

Often working to tight timescales, once the inspection, audit, assessment or investigation is completed you will then provide written reports to customers in the predetermined company format, providing your unbiased assessment, opinion and in the case of claims via an insurer or customer, establish the liabilities.

Likely to suit experienced Master Technicians or Service Managers with a minimum of City & Guilds or NVQ to Level 3, the candidate must be comfortable using computers and be able to use Word or Excel or be able to pick it up quickly.

Skills:

- Technically sound with solid vehicle fault diagnosis & repair experience
- Excellent communication skills (Both verbal & written)
- Full Driving Licence (Ideally Clean)
- Experience of talking to Customers, Dealerships, Manufacturers or Warranty Companies with the ability to build & maintain good relationships
- Smart & Presentable
- Enjoy working to deadlines
- Have a good attitude to work, especially when extra hours are needed to get the job done
- Able to self manage on a daily basis, planning work around conflicting prioritises

This superb opportunity comes with a 4 week training plan in the UK, which by the end of, you will be able to undertake your own assessments and run cases independently. Support & guidance is provided by the Field Assessment Manager and the UK Head Office.
