An exciting opportunity is available for a Compliance Surveillance Manager with a global investment bank based in Birmingham to directly oversee a Surveillance team which will perform a variety of surveillance tasks with respect to the banks EMEA trading operations.
You will be responsible for representing EMEA Surveillance in global projects, including implementing surveillance of new models, new products and jurisdictions. You will be integrated across a global surveillance team and support to enhance knowledge of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Performing the review and investigation of surveillance alerts and escalations
* Reviewing and advising on alerts across communications
* Following and improving procedures to identify and resolve compliance issues and escalate breached for further investigation
The Compliance Surveillance Manager will ideally possess specific surveillance or trading experience covering a variety of financial products with a compliance background. You will have experience of managing deadlines and ensuring adherence to regulatory/audit requirements. You will have some people and process management experience and excellent presentation and communication skills.
