Estimator
Due to expansion I have a great opportunity for an experienced Estimator to join a highly successful company who are a leading architectural and glazing solutions supplier to the commercial sector.
The Role:
Reporting to the Technical Director and working in an existing team of two Estimators they will provide well presented, accurate and competitively priced estimates to main contractor customers, with the overall aim of securing projects.
The Estimator will produce well presented, accurate, timely and clear quotes and will provide regular liaison regarding project details. They will offer value engineered solutions when appropriate.
They will maximise best value by effective negotiation with customers and suppliers to secure each new project at the best possible profit margin.
The Estimator will attend site and pre-contract meetings with the Commercial Manager, Project Management and Quantity Surveying staff.
Day to day they will read and understand technical drawings and plan and schedule work.
Projects will be curtain wall, doors and window fa??ade products.
The Estimator will work on projects in value from GBP50k to GBP2.2 million across a region covering South Wales,Bristol and Bournemouth.
The Candidate:
The role would be ideal for an experienced Estimator, preferably from within the curtain wall, doors and window fa??ade sector. Other backgrounds in cladding,fenestration and architectural metalwork will also be considered.
You must understand technical and professional aspects of work and continually maintain your technical knowledge.
You must be analytical with an excellent eye for detail and ideally have relevant experience within full facade estimating or similar.
You may have experience and knowledge of Kawneer and Technal or similar products.
