Lead and deliver multiple Country and Global Risk-driven initiatives across the UK to embed and maintain robust risk management, protect profitability, support Retail Banking and Wealth Management (RBWM) to grow the business sustainably and streamline processes across all brand and product lines. The Client- One of the world's largest banking and financial services organisations This Client does not provide sponsorship. The role- Enhance RBWM Mortgage Portfolio performance oversight and challenge; identify opportunities to contribute to Business Objectives for managing the mortgage portfolio and 3rd Party relationship management. Take a lead role in delivering initiatives, where appropriate.Initiate and deliver projects to enhance the identification & mitigation of emerging risks within the UK mortgage portfolio, or mortgage sales via intermediaries.Act as the Subject Matter Expert representing UK Credit Risk Management for variety of projects and the UK mortgage portfolio as a whole. The projects will mostly focus on credit risk but, may extend to other areas of risk within RBWM.Take measures and implement solutions that minimise risk and bad debt, contributing to the delivery of the bad debt and fraud loss budget. Understand the capital requirements for UK mortgages and take action to address any issues with Finance and RBWM.Build and maintain positive relationship with external 3rd parties and internal brand stakeholders. Be the primary point of contact for UK mortgage risk. Key Requirements- Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of MortgagesExperience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. Retail / CreditRole relevant qualifications, i.e. Educated to degree levelExperience of using relevant software packages, i.e. Microsoft officeAvailability to undertake the travel required for this role, i.e. some travel between sites and visits to regulators and trade association meetings within the UK. Typically less than once per week.Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. Analytics / Mortgage product development / Regulatory Compliance is desirable but not essentialExperience working in relevant market/context, i.e. Retail Banking is desirable but not essentialPast working experience in a relevant role, i.e. Policy manager / risk manager is desirable but not essentialExperience of using relevant software packages, i.e. SAS / SQL is desirable but not essentialA track record of delivering significant change which improves business effectiveness in sustainable waysA flexible and adaptable management style with experience of developing yourself and othersExcellent written and spoken communication skills with experience of successfully influencing others, negotiating effectively and winning over audiences with compelling and persuasive presentationsBuilt effective networks both internally and externally and created opportunities for others to work collaborativelyA track record of making strategic business decisions, considering relevant risks, long term implications, commercial realities and stakeholders needsA successful track record of leading significant and complex business programmes, overcoming challenges to consistently meet/exceed objectives.
