Site Engineer - Stevenage - Pharmaceutical

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

Accountable for the safe & efficient delivery of projects throughout the GSD1 project portfolio.

To provide technical support to the Project Manager ensuring successful delivery on all projects and assignments in terms of quality, safety, time and cost objectives.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Develop a close working relationship with the Project Managers.

• Promote a safe working environment within the delivery team including Service Providers, Users, Stakeholders and On Site Contractors.

• Form and promote collaborative working with the Site Facility Management teams.

• Interface with On Site Contractors ensuring compliance and safe systems of work.

• Responding and or escalating RFI's to the PM.

• Managing day to day permit to work.

• Managing contractors and carrying out inductions.

• Assisting in developing a handover plan & ensuring all aspects are delivered across the contract delivery & client organisation.

• Responsible for snagging, trade coordination and attendance at weekly Comms Cell meeting.

• Carry out regular Safety Inspections.

• Assist Project Managers in the development of their project URB and URS documents.

• Issue specific technical documentation and drawings to external contractors and consultants.



Skills / Experience Required

• Relevant CSCS card.

• Experience in project engineering and a good understanding of M&E and or Civil Engineering.
Relevant recognised construction industry qualification e.g. City and Guilds minimum
