VAT Technician
- Permanent positon

Smart Recruitment are currently assisting a successful and growing local accountancy in recruiting their next VAT specialist. Are you a fully qualified VAT Technician with a minimum of 1 years' experience working within the VAT function? The role's responsibilities include:
- Assisting the VAT Senior Manager with VAT enquiries, ongoing client work and VAT projects of various sizes
- VAT technical/other research, drafting client facing advice and providing commercial VAT solutions to both internal and external clients
- Assisting with Commercial tax team financials (budgets, wip management, fees)
- Participating with marketing and business development initiatives
- Working within the Commercial team in Yeovil and also across our other offices and Service Lines
Candidate requirements:
- AAT / ATT / CTA Qualified
- At least 1 years' experience in a tax environment
- Skills in problem solving and opportunity finding
- Ability to identify key issues / draw conclusions
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
This role requires an enthusiastic candidate with the ability to manage their workload and work within deadlines and budgets, while having a fantastic attention to detail. Any candidate must be a strong communicator both written and verbal and be a team player.
