Our client on the outskirts of Midsomer Norton is looking for a new valued member of their busy new team.
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Warehouse Stock Controller to be part of a new team and play a critical and important role in ensuring the stock integrity across two warehouses.

The successful candidate will ensure that all stock records are accurate and that stock losses and errors are kept to a minimum, highlighting and investigating stock discrepancies.

Excellent salary dependent upon experience.

You will report to the Senior Stock Controller.

Departmental Overview

Our clients Distribution Centre/Warehouse is based in Midsomer Norton and employs 90 employees on various shift patterns. It is responsible for managing product and deliveries for all their products and online business. The Stock Controller is a new role and will be based in the Warehouse in Midsomer Norton.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

*This will involve completing regular perpetual (cycle) counts in all warehouses and producing reports on the results.
*Investigate variances against physical count of inventory and maintain records and information relating to differences. Periodically validate process and controls around stock movements and highlight any improvements required.
*Identify any slow moving/ damaged or obsolete stock in order for relevant action to be taken to cleanse this stock in order to improve warehouse efficiency.
*Highlight any potential shortages in key stock lines to the Senior Stock Controller, to ensure customer needs are met
*Review and test 'Goods- In' processes and procedures to ensure stock booked into the system is accurate.
*Review 'Goods despatched' to ensure stock is accurately updated on a timely basis.

Special Requirements for this role

Must be flexible over hours of work as role requires focus in different areas of the total business that work different hours.
Essential Requirements
*Warehouse and stock control experience
*Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
*Sound numerical & investigation skills
*Methodical and logical thinking, with strong attention to detail
*Ability to learn quickly how the business works and then use that knowledge to sense-check data produced
*Excellent organisational skills, ability to prioritise, work under pressure and meet set deadlines
*A positive and professional attitude
*Ability to work on own initiative, independently and as a team player
*Enthusiastic, self-motivated person with a practical approach to work
*Must be able to communicate confidently, both oral and written
*A self-starter who looks to promote and enhance the role and to set and achieve quality standards
*Ability to work effectively with people at all levels, inside and outside the organisation
Preferred Requirements
*Warehouse / distribution background
*1 year's experience within a similar role
