Java/Scala Developer/Functional Programming
A very exciting programme of work kicking off in Central Bristol and an ideal opportunity to cross over from Java to more functional programming with Scala.
You'll join an exciting enterprise with great ambition and very current technology.
The ideal applicant will hold:
- Experience building scalable, distributed web applications through Scala (or Java with a Scala personal project, or other JVM based functional language)
- Comfortable with functional programming
- Experience with REST and asynchronous event driven programming.
- Experience with CI, and ideally CD
- Experience driving automation across build, test and release processes.
- Experience with Kafka, Spark or similar technologies would be an advantage but not essential.
