Our client is a market leading provider of domiciliary care across Liverpool. They are a successful family run business with strong values and are currently recruiting for Senior Care Assistants to join their team, delivering personal care services that promote reablement, dignity, respect, wellbeing and positive outcomes.
Position Summary
As Senior Care Assistant, you will be required to be on call at all times during your shifts to cover sickness/absence/holidays of care workers across a range of localities. Your responsibilities will be:
• To deliver care to Service Users being discharged from hospital at short notice.
• To perform community spot checks to ensure compliance with company policies and feedback results to Locality Managers
• Support the development of care workers through delivery of on the job training, coaching and support.
• To shadow new care workers and identify training needs and give coaching as appropriate.
• To ensure care if delivered with dignity and respect and in accordance with the standards laid down within the Fundamental Standards of Care.
• To ensure Service Users and their families are signposted to additional services.
About you
The successful candidates must have a minimum of a Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social care and be committed to achieving Level 3 Diploma. They will have the following skills to undertake the role:
• Is caring and empathetic with a focus on delivery of a quality caring service that focuses on dignity and respect at all times.
• Good Literacy and Numeracy skills – must be able to complete accurate and compliant records in relation to Medication Administration and Care Worker records.
• Good communicator with the ability to encourage Service Users and engage with family members and colleagues.
• Flexible, able to adapt to changing needs of the Service User and self – motivated with an ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Must have a full, clean driving licence with access to own vehicle (mileage paid)
Suitable skills/experience: Care Worker, Care and Support Worker, Care Supervisor, Support Worker, Residential Care Worker, Response Care Assistant, Care Assistant Manager
