Lecturer - Acting - Film and Television (bank)

The curriculum area of Creative Arts and Digital Industries requires an experienced teacher of acting for Film and Television to work for the Pauline Quirk Academy based at Blackpool and The Fylde College. The role is a fixed term contract for 3 hours per week every Saturday with an opportunity to deliver on the Summer school. The successful candidate must be able to operate a camera and teach performance to camera. Editing skills are an advantage but not necessary.

The ideal candidate will possess a first degree in a relevant discipline.

The following is desirable:

• Relevant industrial experience in a related profession
• Experience of teaching in HE (but FE experience will be considered)
• A recognised teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one/relevant Industrial experience.
• Working towards or has a master's degree would be advantageous

Personal qualities: Enthusiastic, motivated and able to show initiative to contribute to an excellent team of staff and the quality of the programme.
