Trade Counter & Bathroom Sales Assistant

Trade Counter & Bathroom Sales Assistant required for a well-established company based in Longbridge, Birmingham, West midlands.

SALARY: £20,000 - £25,000 (Negotiable)

WORKING HOURS: 40hours per week, Monday – Friday & Alternative Saturdays. (You must also have the flexibility to work extra hours when required by the business).

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Trade Counter & Bathroom Sales assistant. You will be on the forefront of the businesses customer satisfaction, pointing all customers towards the right products for their requirements.

Successful candidates will predominately work behind the trade counter but will also act as a bathroom sales advisor for the in-house showroom.

You will be part of a team working to provide the best levels of service and product knowledge available.

As the Trade counter & Bathroom sales assistant you will support the smooth running of the showroom and ensure every customer leaves with a smile.

FLEXIBILITY AND ADAPTABILITY

Successful candidates MUST have the flexibility and adaptability to business change at short notice to carry out the duties of a relief driver covering staff absences, holidays etc.

DUTIES

Trade Counter Sales Assistant Duties and Responsibilities will include:

• Serving customers (both trade and retail) on the trade counter
• Ordering stock and merchandising the shop
• Negotiating prices
• Providing back up answering the telephone in the sales office and on the trade counter
• Taking orders and responding to a wide range of queries from customers
• Guiding customers through the interest/purchase process when it comes to our Bathroom showroom.

IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Ideal candidates should have:

• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Plumbing, heating and trade knowledge

Working Hours:

42.5 hours per week, 7.45am-5.00pm Monday - Friday (flexibility will be required with start/finish times to cover opening hours), plus alternative Saturday’s.
