Ballikinrain School  “Include me in” Services, in Balfron, Stirlingshire, supports boys with behavioural and learning needs to integrate themselves back into their own communities.  Our caring atmosphere is built around education, guidance, tolerance and understanding, with the aim of ‘giving children back their childhood’.

We’re looking for a committed teacher to deliver across the 8 areas of the Curriculum for Excellence and contribute to the ongoing development of each pupil’s individual education programme. We keep a particular focus on literacy, numeracy, health and well-being, and a science background would be a distinct advantage.

The abilities of our pupils range from Early Level to the Senior Phase. As many of the children who attend Ballikinrain have experienced difficulties in school in the past, you will deliver the curriculum with a flexibility that accommodates different learning styles and focuses on the strengths of each individual. You will also promote a Therapeutic Environment and contribute to the Relational Health of the children and young people.

We welcome applications from both primary and secondary trained teachers. To apply you must be registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland and hold a relevant teaching qualification. You must also have a full driving licence or a commitment to achieving this within an agreed timescale.

In return we offer an excellent benefits package that includes membership of the Teachers’ Pension. What’s more we’ll make sure you have all the training and development you need, not only so you can do a great job, but to help you build your career with us too.

You will also be part of one of Scotland’s largest voluntary social work organisations. At CrossReach, we offer quality care and counselling to a wide range of people in need. But the real story of CrossReach is the work that our staff do: reaching out and making a real difference to the lives of others. If you’d like to join them, we look forward to hearing from you.

Applicants are required to have a Christian commitment and must be able to uphold our Christian Ethos, which is an Occupational Requirement in terms of the Equality Act 2010. This post is subject to PVG Membership.
