Learning Resources Support Assistant

25 hours per week / 40 weeks per year

Scale 2/3, salary range points 8 - 13 / £15,065 - £17,388 per annum

(Actual Salary £9,592.12 to £10,456.91 per annum)

We require Learning Resource Support Assistants at our Corby campus, to actively contribute to the effective and efficient day to day running of the Learning Resources Centre (LRC).

Learning Resources Support Assistants provide frontline support for learners and staff, helping them to locate and use print and electronic resources, IT packages, and the college Virtual Learning Environment. They operate the Library Management System for the issue, receipt and reservation of resources, as well as maintaining stock, creating displays, collecting fines and participating proactively in promotional activities and learner inductions. They are also responsible for maintaining acceptable standards of learner behaviour within the LRC.

The successful candidate will have a good all round level of education to include Maths and English to GCSE (Grade A - C) or equivalent. A qualification at Level 3 is desirable. You will have excellent IT and customer service skills, and be a flexible, proactive team-player.

Hours of work are spread across five days; include a variety of mornings and afternoons, and one evening until 7pm.
