Our client is a Further Education College offering a wide range of courses to over 5000 full time students and over 5650 part time students each year. The college currently works with over 50 high school partners, welcoming students from Bury and the surrounding areas.

In addition to over 900 students progressing to university from the College, 200 students choose to study a Higher Level course available at their University Centre each year.

As a Student Information Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the work of the department and ensuring an outstanding service is provided to internal and external customers in an efficient and effective manner.

Sharing responsibility for organising their main enrolment period, including staffing, rooming, planning and finalisation of enrolment paperwork in line with funding guidance, you will liaise with relevant staff to organise interviews, enrolment etc. and any other applicable events and ensure that college schedules meet current demand and that all related activities take place. Accurately and effectively inputting and updating data records, you must liaise with the Funding/Planning Officer to ensure MLAs are accurately recorded on the course file; maintaining the course file and updating throughout the year.

Monitoring data input processes on an on-going basis and supporting the Student Information Co-ordinator and Student Team Leader in solving backlogs and issues, you will collate and analyse relevant data to produce required reports (e.g. applications and enrolments) and validate all application data to confirm the integrity of management reports and external returns.

To be successful in this role, candidates must have a good standard of education, proven administration work experience and be committed to providing a high level of customer service.  Able to work under pressure and to deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy, you must have experience of using Microsoft Office applications and e-mail and ideally hold an NVQ Level 3 in Customer Service, Business Administration or equivalent (or be willing to work towards this).
