Job Title: Internal Sales / Bidding Engineer

Location: Middlewich

Due to continued growth, the company now require an experienced Internal Sales / Bidding Engineer to join their dynamic sales team.

Reporting into the Sales Operations Manager you will require a technical background in Electrical or Electronic engineering but equally comfortable with a sales focused environment; you should therefore have experience and be used to working to set targets.

You will spend the majority of your time liaising with customers and compiling quotations in line with their requirements; from a technical perspective, it would be an advantage if you had some 2D/3D CAD experience as you will be required to prepare pre-sales solution design along with interpreting existing documentation to enable you to provide support and advice both internally and to our customer base.

You will be using the company's CRM tool to prepare engineered and technical quotations to both new and existing clients. You will be identifying and establishing new business and as such have the ability to build rapport and provide outstanding customer service from day one. You will have great commercial acumen with the ability to balance customer requirements, utilising both to really drive your sales channels.

The Candidate:

  • Ideally have a formal electrical/electronic engineering qualification, or be qualified through experience.
  • Be a great communicator with the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Have experience in a customer facing environment with the ability to demonstrate your personal drive to achieve sales targets.
  • Ability to accurately estimate materials and labour required to satisfy client's technical requirements
  • Have experience working to specifications and within certification requirements and limitations
  • It would be an advantage but not essential if you had experience/exposure to hazardous area engineering
