What you'll be doing
As Team Manager you'll be accountable for the direction, leadership and management of our fostering service, using your passion and expertise to take it to the next level and make it the very best place it can possibly be. Our foundations are already strong, but we want to make the most of this and achieve more. What's next? You'll know. You're someone with courage and determination, someone who will champion the needs and rights of children, ask difficult questions and make difficult decisions. You'll lead on the recruitment and retention of foster carers, have a sizeable budget responsibility and inspire and develop your team. And as part of our management team, you'll also work closely with other managers from Looked After Children, Residential and Adoption teams, supporting each other to achieve the best possible outcomes. This pivotal role is an incredible opportunity to use your energy, vision and drive to make a difference to the future of fostering at Lincolnshire County Council.
What we're looking for
A professional and qualified social worker, registered with the HCPC.
An enthusiastic and engaging manager with the determination to change the status quo for the better.
Solution focused and strengths-based approach
Considerable expertise and a credible and authoritative approach that wins support from everyone around you.
In-depth knowledge of the legislative framework and legal proceedings that govern children's services.
Experience managing people, projects and big budgets.
Exceptional communication skills.
