Your new company
Hays Senior Finance is recruiting a part or fully qualified Financial Accountant for a large high profile organisation in Hull. This is an exciting time to join the business as they are going through a period of substantial growth and capital investment and have ambitious plans for the future.
The opportunity would particularly suit an accountant who is looking to make their first move from a firm of accountants.
Your new role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will assist with the preparation of the annual statutory accounts and completion of statistical returns, you will be responsible for corporation tax, and will provide support in relation to VAT. You will also prepare business cases, help manage financial processes, develop financial reports to assist in decision making, assist with the development of the coding structure of the finance system, and help support the finance team. You will be responsible for two members of staff.
What you will need to succeed
You will be a part or fully qualified accountant with excellent financial accounting skills. You will also possess strong IT and communication skills.
What you will get in return
A competitive starting salary of between £33,000 and £35,000 per annum, an excellent pension scheme with 18% employer contributions, 39 days annual leave, flexi-time, and a 36.5 hour working week.
