Mechanical Engineer - Permanent Position - Stoke-on-Trent
Salary: £25,000 + OT
Duties: Primary role is a service/breakdown engineer but when not on a service/breakdown, the candidate will be require to carry out duties in the workshop.
Service/breakdowns duties:
- Attending site, Possibly with a short period of notice.
- Staying overnight for service visits/breakdowns.
- Investigate problem with hydraulic/electrics of filter
- press/pumps.
- Maintenance of filtre press/pumps.
Workshop duties:
- Building filter presses.
- Painting filter presses.
- Fitting Hydraulics to filter presses.
- Drilling/tapping parts of filter presses.
- Fitting ancillary parts to filter presses.
- Cloth fitting shop or site work
- Staying away on Installation/commissioning projects (days/weeks)
Experience:
- Site work (service related, maintenance related, installation related).
- Hydraulic Pneumatics (a good working knowledge).
- Electricals (a working knowledge).
- Good problem solving skills regarding the above.
- Workshop/fabrication skills.
- General engineering knowledge.
Monday-Friday 07:30-16:00 (1/2 hour Lunch from 13:00-13:30)
