Overall purpose of role:

This is a Test Analyst role in Personal Banking -Digital workspace. The key purpose of the role is :
Participate in project requirement analysis
Under minimal supervision, create Test ware - estimates, scenarios, cases, data
Executes Tests and collates evidence
Defect reporting and tracking.
Articulates the tests executed, data used, the results and defects to project stakeholders


Key Accountabilities and Skills required:

Participate in requirement analysis and static testing
Understand the AUT and share your understanding within the team
Participate in test estimations for project
Conversant with the test strategy / plan / approach being followed and provides inputs / feedback
Create query log/ mind map/ flow charts
Create test cases/ scripts/ charters/ data sheets/ sample data
Set up and Execute tests and record evidence
Raise defects with appropriate amount of details
Explain the tests executed, data used, the results and defects to project team
Constant communication and follow-ups with various stake holders to track deliverable during test planning and execution phases where applicable. Escalate issues to TM as appropriate
Complete tasks / deliverables within schedule constraints (for self)
Provide guidance to other team members on technology/ domain/ application queries
Awareness of test automation / performance testing with ability to support & plan scope identification.
Assist the Test Manager in managing day-to-day testing activities, such as test monitoring and status reporting at the end of the testing day
Build a knowledge repository on best practices on using specific test tools or while working on specific technologies.
Participate in project meetings to provide feedback and statistics of the project in relation to the test quality & suggest improvements
Should have exposure to Test Automation and Gherkin method of writing scripts

Stakeholder management and leadership.
He/she will need to interact with wider range of stakeholders such as Product Owners, Test Managers, Business Analysts and Designers, SIT and Release Regression leads for various queries/issues etc.
He/she will be expected to guide and lead the junior testers.
Decision making and problem solving.
Should possess high analytical and problem solving skills. Quite often the role will require an individual to impact assess critical and complex testing problems (such as approach/interdependencies/test data to be used etc) in short time durations hence having significant knowledge on the application (ROLB) will be the key.

Your Skills and Qualifications will include
Experience in the technology sector within a financial organisation.
Preferably significant exposure to Testing Processes, concepts and deliveries.
Preferably a graduate in engineering or computer sciences (or equivalent degree).
