Refuse Operative

This is an opportunity to join the team at the forefront of delivering waste and recycling services in Chichester. Working as a member of the collection crew you be collecting refuse and recycling from households across Chichester. You must be prepared for 6.30am starts and have fitness for walking all day, as well as the ability to move wheelie bins and lift recycling boxes. Role of the Refuse Collector: You will be responsible for the safe handling and collection of commercial and domestic waste and recycling.The refuse collector role involves moving wheelie bins from properties to the rear of the refuse vehicle.Full refuse training will be given Requirements of the Refuse Collector: Physically fit as this role involves a lot of walking.Repetitive lifting involved.Safety personal protection equipment is required to be worn, safety boots and Hi-vis vest HOURS: 06:30 - 14:00 daily GBP8.08ph Initially the position will be on a temporary basis but may lead to permanent work for the right candidate.
