Our client is a successful manufacturer of a range of specialist products within a growing marketplace.
Due to an ongoing commitment to both plant and people, they now have an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join their winning team.
Responsible for a team of up to 10, you will lead and develop your team and manage the day to day operations and activities within a production area to ensure production plan and targets are achieved ensuring product quality and specifications are maintained at all times.
Responsibilities include:-
Supervise team members to ensure operations are carried out in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, GMP and GDP.
Manage all aspects of Health & Safety associated with in the production areas.
To allocate and direct labour to meet production priorities. In addition, Ensure that the necessary materials and equipment is available to undertake production per the plan, including tooling, paperwork, material.
Work with line manager, peers, direct reports and support personnel as appropriate to solve problems and make decisions
Identify, implement and sustain quality and process improvements.
Manage direct reports through performance, absence, appraisals, training, disciplinary.
Responsible for scheduling maintenance of process equipment and interaction between suppliers and contractors.
Identify & support the department KPI's to improve efficiencies by collecting data, identifying trends, visual aids and driving improvement activities.
Document, support and investigate quality issues using non-conformances, change controls, deviations and implement corrective actions via route cause analysis.
Identify, coach and develop individual training plans and requirements for direct reports.
Monitor critical process parameters and act on deviations within the manufacturing area to ensure efficient production.
Generation and review of in process and quality documentation with in production area.
Liaise with upstream area leaders, production manager and production planner regarding scheduling
Ensure effective housekeeping in GMP environment is maintained.
