Progressive Engineering require an experienced Control System / Electrical Design Engineer to join a very well established special purpose machine manufacturer on a 6 month contract basis. This position will suit a Control System Engineer looking to spend the majority of their time travelling to one fixed location/place of work. The client estimates 90% of time will be based at their production facility in Oxford. The position requires the successful Control System Engineer to have a mix of both PLC programming and Electrical Design experience. Knowledge of Siemens and / or Allen Bradley PLCs is required, knowledge of Mitsubishi PLCs will be advantageous but not essential. In terms of Electrical design, experience of using EPLAN is expected, applicants with knowledge of both EPLAN and AutoCAD will be considered favourably. The successful Control System Engineer will be involved in design work, component selection, electrical wiring schematics and panel/wiring drawings. The client supplies services to customers working across multiple sectors within automation so knowledge of factory automation, systems for production lines, special purpose machinery, bottling plants, and/or materials handling projects will be heavily advantageous.The client is very well regarded and can offer a stable yet varied working environment for high calibre Engineers.
