Role: Quality Inspector (FAIRs)
Location: Woking
Salary: GBP26,000pa + benefits
A new opportunity has arisen for a Quality Inspector to join a respected engineering company based near Woking on a permanent basis.
My client is a leading supplier of bespoke parts for the aerospace industry and due to continued business development and growth they require a Quality Inspector with good experience of FAIRs to join the business.
The Quality Inspector will be responsible for the following:
- Compile and complete first article inspection reports using visual fair.
- Experience with standard metrology techniques including hand gauges
- Understanding of the application of GD&T inspection methods.
- Experience with inspection of high tolerance parts, both fabricated & machined
- Good problem solving, organization, and recording skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
The Quality Inspector will ideally have the following skills / experience:
- Sound knowledge of visual fair software.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in an aerospace quality assurance environment is preferable
- Ability to validate inspections, interpret GD&T blueprints, perform shop maths (including trigonometry)
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Excellent communication skills-ability to effectively and efficiently communicate with customers, suppliers and employees
- CMM experience would be an advantage
