Junior Technical Asset Manager required to join a successful nationwide renewable energy company. Girling Jones require a Junior Technical Asset Manager to join a business offering diverse opportunities within the solar industry. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a structured and growing company.

Your new position

Reporting to the Head of Assets, you will be responsible for the Operational and HSE performance of the business as well as contractual performance. You will oversee a number of solar parks to maximise production and produce savings through close liaison and management of performance and budgets. Responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of the site management for a portfolio of solar parks in the UK to protect and enhance their value.

- Assisting the Asset Management team in tracking and managing the key performance indicators (production, availability, performance ratio, grid downtime)
- Understanding the main causes of downtime for each solar park and following up proactively with internal team and contractors to maximise performance
- Assisting in the management of the performance (regular reviews and meetings) of all service contractors and the compliance with their contractual obligations
- Contributing to the preparation of the monthly management reports for the solar parks by providing operational and HSE commentary and reviewing operational KPIs prepared by performance analyst
- Supporting the implementation of land management measures to comply with planning consents
- Maintaining good communications within the team to ensure assets are optimised and fit with the company's goals and standards
- Supporting other business development/project origination activities as necessary
- Fulfilling any other reasonable requests from the Head of Technical Asset Management

What you'll need to succeed

- Hold a degree in engineering
- Good technical knowledge of electricity generation and solar park technology would be beneficial
- A self-starter with a passion for the renewable energy industry
- Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly and develop long-term relationships
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with all stakeholder groups including OEMs, contractors and clients
- Professionalism with the ability to understand and manage client expectations and deliver high quality service
- Able to work with minimum supervision when interfacing with stakeholders but also able to work with all of the business
- Ability to operate optimally within a fast-paced, private equity-backed environment
- Willing to travel frequently
