Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK with a nationwide network of rehoming centres and charity shops. Last year, Dogs Trust centres cared for over 17,000 dogs; we never put a healthy dog down.
We are seeking a Senior Coach to work as part of a small, highly motivated team providing dog training classes to the public as well as adopters of Dogs Trust dogs. The Senior Coach will help to market Dog School and to organise and run seminars and workshops for the public on dog handling, training and behaviour. You should understand canine ethology, how dogs learn new behaviours and how training methods impact on welfare. You will also be experienced at handling dogs who are challenging and ideally have an animal behaviour qualification. In addition, you will have good communication skills and the ability to deal sensitively with other people.
