Main Purpose of Role The focus of your role We are currently investing to further build our Consumer Products (CP) Supply Chain capability in the UK, leveraging our established track record of delivery of value for our clients in the UK and globally. As a Managing Consultant you will have a key role in delivering our most challenging assignments and in growing our capability. This therefore represents an opportunity to have a significant role and stake in the growth of our team, with all the opportunities this presents. Key Responsibilities What youll do As a thought leader on the subject of Supply Chain transformation in Consumer Products, youll shape and ensure the effective delivery and timely completion of projects in alignment with commercial goals, applying appropriate implementation approaches with a full understanding of delivery concepts, consulting tools and methodologies. Youll be leading multiple deliverables / project teams with responsibility for delivering to plan (scope, quality and time). Occasionally youll be managing difficult situations, tackling problems and crisis situations, in a calm manner, inspiring team confidence. Youll be engaging with Tier 1 and key Tier 2 FMCG client organisations, developing senior relationships up to Board level. And youll bring best practice, your skills and experience to bear in delivering value for our clients. Working with the team to drive Supply Chain strategy, consulting and technology offerings to new and existing clients, ensuring offerings are relevant and timely. Youll support the growth of the team - playing a role in the plans to generate a pipeline of consulting activity that utilises a combination of our pre-existing relationships, and indeed your own network to generate revenue. As part of this youll be developing tailored proposals and value propositions to clients. Youll mentor other members of the team, in order to support their development. Person Profile What youll bring Youll bring experience in Supply Chain transformation in the Consumer Products / FMCG sector, with a track record in the implementation of change and delivery of value. Youll bring experience of the issues faced by CP manufacturers, and the key Supply Chain challenges in this sector, along with experience of the transformation programme lifecycle from strategy right through to implementation. In addition, youll have the following experience and personal attributes: Experience: • Youll bring a good knowledge of FMCG Supply Chain key issues and challenges including Strategy, Planning, Logistics, Inventory Management and overarching Supply Chain management and Analytics. • Youll have a combination of Consumer Products, Supply Chain, ideally with ERP and Analytics and more general consulting experience, gained from time spent within these areas. • Youll bring a network in Tier 1 and key Tier 2 FMCG firms, as well as a track record in selling and delivering major Supply Chain programmes. • Currently or very recently working within a major consultancy or strategy organisation, youll have a history of shaping and leading delivery teams in major Supply Chain programmes, as well as delivering innovative but realistic solutions to client problems. • Youll be able to demonstrate an active and well informed knowledge of the CP sector and have an opinion on key trends, as well as a history of rapid career progression with your previous employer(s). Whilst you will have London as an office base location, you must be fully flexible in terms of assignment location, as these roles may involve periods of time away from home at short notice. We offer a remuneration package which includes fixed salary, and in addition for Senior Consultant and above, you will receive variable compensation dependent on company and personal performance.
