LOCATION: Kirkham, Lancashire

JOB TITLE: Anaerobic Digester Facility Operator

SALARY & BENEFITS: Depending on experience

WORKING HOURS: Working alternate weekends and being on a call out rota outside of normal working hours.

THE COMPANY: Our client has become one of the UK's leading peeled potato and chip suppliers. They play an essential role in sourcing, processing and then distributing potatoes and chips of the highest quality to food manufacturers. They have recently expanded into the green energy sector by the way of an Anaerobic Digestion Facility, therefore feed the potato peelings along with energy crops and other agricultural by-products into the digester to generate renewable energy benefitting the environment and local community.

THE ROLE: For the role of the Anaerobic Digester Facility Operator you will work alongside and report into the Facility Manager assisting in the operations of an anaerobic digestion/biogas plant.

Key Responsibilities for the Anaerobic Digester Facility Operator role to include:-

• Assisting in maintaining feedstock records
• Feedstock mix parameters
• Feedstock feeding
• Ensuring agreed targets and goals are achieved with maximum output and minimum downtime
• Performing scheduled maintenance

THE CANDIDATE: For the role of Anaerobic Digester Facility Operator you have a can-do attitude and contribute to the team and the organisation as a whole. To take on this role you will need to demonstrate strong planning and communication skills alongside sufficient IT skills to analyze data and create reports.You will need to live within a commutable distance to Kirkham.

Key experience essential for the role of Anaerobic Digester Facility Operator:-

• A background in process sectors such as anaerobic digestion, biogas or waste water would be an advantage although having a willingness to train and develop within your own career will be essential.
• Experience in maintaining industrial plant and machinery.
• Current driving license and experience with driving forklifts / agricultural plant machinery
• WAMITAB Certification preferred but not essential.
