Quality Assurance Inspector

A Quality Assurance Inspector is sought to join this manufacturer of mechanical and polymer components based in Westbury, Wiltshire.

The organisation sells to the gas, electronic, telecommunications and construction sectors across the country. They're a relatively small company, with 40+ members of staff, but with a £6million turnover.

Due to expansion, they are now seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to join the business.

Title: Quality Assurance Inspector
Location: Westbury, Wiltshire
Salary: £20k - £35k per annum
Benefits: Full training, pension, 20 days annual leave (increasing each year up to 25 days)

The Quality Assurance Inspector will be responsible for the following:
* Inspecting Mechanical & Polymer Products against technical drawings
* Patrol checks of both Mechanical and Chemical work areas ensuring product is being manufactured to the works order (no chemical knowledge is required)
* Checking and signing off of completed chemical products against works order
* Calibration of equipment: Internal calibration of measuring devices & updating and maintaining the calibration register.
* Completion of non-conformance notes and recording them on the company's register
* Checking of goods out to ensure correct product is being dispatched

Additional Duties may include:
* Carrying out Audits on the quality system (ISO 9001:2015) and environmental system (ISO 14001:2015)
* Carrying out Health, Safety and Environmental walk around audits
* Visits to local suppliers to ensure Quality Assurance
* Occasional visits to other sites (Sheffield / Stockton-on-Tees)

It is essential that the Quality Assurance Inspector will possess the following:
* Mechanical Quality Assurance experience
* The ability to read technical / engineering drawings
* Proficiency in the use of measuring equipment (Callipers, Vernier)

It is desirable that the Quality Assurance Inspector will possess the following:
* Audit experience and qualifications for ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
* Polymer understanding
