My client are a highly dynamic and fast paced software house based in Bath who are looking to embed a highly skilled Technical Operations Analyst into their cutting edge technology department. They work on a purely agile basis, which enables them to react to transient markets quickly and stay one step ahead when it comes to implementing the most modern tools and technologies.

As a Technical Operations Analyst you will have a good background in managing Client Production Environments. You will be accountable for the integrity, confidentiality and availability of the environments through monitoring and managing all support requests relating to them.
This role does have a strong client facing element included and you will need to employ a keen eye for detail and the determination to implement the best technologies on the market.
As well as this, there is the opportunity to become skilled in DevOps technologies such as Ansible, Docker, Openstack and Jenkins.
Key responsibilities to include:
- Ensuring appropriate workarounds are in place if the incidents are not resolved within the agreed SLAs.
- To develop and deliver concise and considered technical problem resolutions, utilising your understanding of system capabilities.
- Collaborating with the Engineering and DevOps teams when preparing alternative solutions and where necessary writing the appropriate codes to repair the system.
- You will hold the responsibility of ensuring the company's software is up to date.
Necessary knowledge and experience required:
- A highly detailed understanding of Service and Technical Operation activities which deliver a 'best in class' service through experience of managing high availability and secure systems to a varied client base.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in an IT organisation
- ITIL v3 Foundaation
- Full software development lifecycle experience
- Working experience of Zendesk or other service management tools
Technical understanding:
- Linux/Unix Administration
- IDS/IPS Practices
