Technical Engineer Administrator
Wrexham

Our client is an engineering, design and manufacturing company. To complete the team, our client is currently looking to recruit an experienced Technical Engineer Administrator to join the drawing office based on Wrexham Industrial Estate.

Our client has been established in 1993, supplying expertise and equipment to the beverage can industry worldwide. The fully automated high speed machines for printing beverage cans at speeds above 2000 per minute are designed, manufactured, build and tested in Wrexham and exported all over the world.

Person Specification
This is a very dynamic position for an extremely IT literate individual with a keen interest in Engineering to develop an initially basic role into an extremely fulfilling one. The position may initially cover other departments such as purchasing and possibly Sales Support and therefore excellent literacy and numeracy are also an important factor. The ability to learn quickly and the willingness to support the Engineering Team and the Company are fundamental requirements. This could be an extremely challenging and sometimes frustrating role that would require a significant amount of emotional resilience to fulfil it.

Job Specification
Initially the position is to complete Professional standard Technical documentation and accurately build and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMS) and Works Orders on the Company ERP system. A working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is essential for the candidate to make immediate impact on the position. An understanding of the structure of databases and how to logically arrange the information is a pre-requisite for this position. The candidate would have to contact and communicate effectively with suppliers in a professional manner and take the opportunity to learn about the products that they would be discussing to assist in their potential progression into other roles.

The Future
For the right person with the correct attitude and aptitude there could be the potential to progress to a Project Engineer position that would involve total management of projects through from inception to completion, however, this progression will be totally in the candidates hands because they would have to prove their abilities first. This position may also include learning SolidWorks 3D Cad software.
