Grade 2 Bindery Operator
We are looking for someone with an eye for detail, are able to contribute to a Team tasked to deliver continuous improvement to achieve 100% ‘right first time', and who are able to step up a gear to respond positively in a deadline driven environment.
Applicants will need:
- To enjoy working as part of a team
- A proactive approach to resolving customer queries and solving maintenance issues
- An excellent standard of housekeeping, able to maintain a safe and clean working environment
- Great communication skills to enable a thorough and efficient handover to subsequent shifts with minimum downtime; able to understand and take instruction, but also willing to demonstrate initiative and put forward new ideas
- A flexible approach to working, based on the needs of the business
- Bindery experience is preferred, but not essential
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Ensuring the Key Performance Indicators for the Bindery are delivered
- Performing quality checks to minimise non-conformances
- Ensure work is ready for despatch
- Be responsible for checking and reporting on quality issues
- Thoroughly check all Works Instructions prior to binding and report any errors immediately
- Subject to training, act as a back up to the No.1 operator and cover as required
- Reporting all faults and ensuring equipment is maintained in good working order
- Complying with all TJ International policies and procedures, including health & safety, quality systems, personnel, smoking, mobile phone, dignity at work and the TJ values & behaviours.
Rate of pay is dependent on shift pattern:
3 x 12 hour shifts weekly (£355.25 gross per week), Mon-Sat; or
5 x 8 hours shifts (£346.66 gross per week) Mon-Fri
