Our client a small, but rapidly expanding entertainment company are currently looking to recruit an Accountant, to join them on a full time permanent basis within their offices based in Camberley.
The Role
This role will be part of a small, but rapidly growing finance team, where you will provide a range of support across all Company financial activity and acts as the initial contact for the finance department, both with internal and external clients and suppliers covering areas such as:
* Timely and accurate processing of purchase invoices
* Liaising with clients and suppliers
* Month end reporting
* Produce monthly payment run
* Management of petty cash
* Supporting the production of the monthly management accounts
* Involvement in bank reconciliations and payments
* Ensuring the ledgers are maintained with accuracy
* Supporting the Chief Financial Officer in preparation of financial data
* VAT and PAYE reconciliation and filing
* Accounts filing in Companies House and HMRC
* Administration of government deductions (CSA, autoenrolment etc.)
* Other general office finance tasks
The Candidate
The ideal candidate for this role will be a confident accounts professional with 3+ years experience in the field, including exposure to both management and general accounting. You must have excellent communication and computer skills (particularly MS Excel) and Interested in working in a startup environment, as the company grows further it is likely the structure of the finance department will change, therefore this post has the opportunity to grow and the individual gain added responsibility.
You must be able to organise and prioritise a demanding workload and meet deadlines, and have the ability to work independently and cooperatively within a team environment
Working technical knowledge of reporting standards and management accounting techniques is essential, and sound knowledge of UK Taxes would also be desirable.
