Information about the school
Wilmington Grammar School for Girls and WG6
General Information The school is a successful and forward-looking 11-18 grammar school for girls (Academy Converter). It is situated on the outskirts of Dartford set in extensive grounds and a beautiful rural setting. The roll is currently 871 but as a result of WG6, a joint Sixth Form with Wilmington Grammar School for Boys, boys are also on roll and/or access courses in the Sixth Form and the roll is expected to rise. Our Maths and Computing specialism is reflected in excellent results.
Recently completed is a new state of the art building which incorporates specialist classrooms and fully integrated digital facilities.
Judged as 'outstanding' in virtually every category, the recent Ofsted report (November 2015) stated "outcomes for pupils are outstanding with pupils making rapid progress in a range of subjects" and also noted "the head teacher is a determined and capable leader who has set very high expectations for staff and pupils."
We seek to combine traditional academic standards with an understanding of the demands and responsibilities of living in a modern society. We offer each student every opportunity to develop their individual potential.
Our School and all its personnel are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children. This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
