Social Worker - Children In Care Team

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Social Worker to join the Looked After Children Through Care Team (North & East) based in Chippenham.

We are structured into Specialist teams with Social Workers being able to really focus on working directly with families to make a positive impact for children and young people. We are a nurturing and stable team, where formal supervision is carried out monthly and informal case discussions is encouraged by the supportive management team.
About the role
This role is key to the ongoing support of children in the care of the Local Authority. Responsible for statutory visiting, completing permanency reports, court reports, looked after reviews, attending fostering panel, advocating the wishes of the child, liaising with foster parents, professionals and schools, delivering and reviewing focused interventions, you'll be fundamental to safeguarding vulnerable children and promoting positive outcomes to ensure the long term needs of the child are met.
About you
You will hold a relevant Social Care qualification, HCPC Registration and must have experience. You will bring an understanding of related agendas, practices and policies, as well as a thorough knowledge of all associated legislation.
