Accounts Executive

A fantastic and exciting opportunity has arisen to join a very busy accountancy practice. Due to expansion, we are looking for a Accounts Executive to join the Business Advisory Team. The successful candidate will be joining an enthusiastic and energetic department at a really exciting point in the business. The successful candidate requires a forward thinking approach whilst combining traditional accounting experience with good knowledge of cloud accounting software. This is a very interesting and varied position with a varied workload and lots of client contact, there is plenty of opportunity to get out and about supporting clients in their premises and attending exhibitions and events to promote services.

Job Details:

Preparation of financial accounts, including back reconciliations fixed asset accounting, nominal ledger, and preparation to trial balance
Preparation of management accounts and financial forecasts
Assisting client with tax compliance, Tax Returns, VAT and Payroll
Visiting client premises on a quarterly basis to manage bookkeeping and VAT returns
Responding to calls and emails from clients
Providing any support to clients / colleagues on the use of Xero and Caseware accounting systems
Supervision of the departments' less experienced team members, providing assistance and guidance where needed
Promote company software to new and existing clients as this will play a big part in the role to drive this forward

Experience and skills required:

AAT, ACCA or ACA qualified
Business services in a practice environment is essential
Knowledge of Xero and Caseware Accounting Software would be an advantage
Excellent communication and IT skills are essential
Ability to analyse and interpret information
Be willing to travel to clients premises outside office hours
Forward thinking and good communication skills
