Job Title: Quality Manager

Location: Old Sarum, Salisbury

Salary: Competitive

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

Our client is looking for an experienced Quality Manager to join their team based in Salisbury.

The company is an ISO 9001:2008 accredited company that has been providing digital display, data logging and custom instrumentation solutions to customers across the world. With direct sales and technical offices in the United Kingdom, United States and Hong Kong and a large global network of distributors, their aim is to bring their unique brand of products to users in multiple application and geographical markets and support their needs wherever they arise.

Job Role:

To monitor system performance through the use of key process indicators (KPI) to ensure internal and external customer's requirements and expectations have been identified and that the organisation is meeting and exceeding expectations. To champion, and support improvement initiatives throughout the company, ensuring all managers and supervisors develop and maintain their part of the quality management system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, control and assure product and process quality is in accordance with quality principles.
  • Develop and implement quality programs, including tracking, analysing, problem solving and reporting.
  • Investigate product quality problems, determine root cause, gather and analyse data and implement corrective action to reduce or eliminate the cause.
  • Work closely with the head of operations to identify and resolve production and quality system deficiencies.
  • To ensure all QA staff are trained in the skills required for their role as laid out in the appropriate skills sheets.
  • Provide support to customers.
  • Management and ownership of the complaints process.
  • When required, support other areas of the business when and where the need arises as directed by the Managing Director.

Key Requirements:

  • A strong commitment to quality and delivering consistency
  • A detailed understanding of the electronics or mechanical industry.
  • The ability to communicate effectively and respectfully, balancing multiple points of view while maintaining clarity.
  • Must be computer literate, with the ability to use all aspects of MS Office.
  • Is self-motivated and has the ability to motivate others.
