Our client is looking for a facilities assistant to join their team! Our client is looking for a candidate for 12 week period with the possibility of a more permanent opportunity for the right candidate. 37 Hours per week 8.30 am until 5pm Mon-Thurs (4.30 on Friday) However on occasions of holiday and sickness of caretaking staff would need to work either a 7am until 2pm shift or 4pm until the end of the last meeting (normally around 9pm but could be later on very rare occasions). The job is based in the main post room and facilities management office. The successful candidate will be dealing with incoming and outgoing post, internal courier runs and facilities management functions. Other tasks will include; Use of Microsoft Office software - Word, Excel, Outlook, Sharepoint. Paying of invoices and raising purchase orders. Taking bookings and setting up refreshments and equipment for meetings. Dealing with bookings for pool vans and refuelling as required. Creating and issuing security ID cards. Trained as Chief Fire Marshal for building and needs to understand the alarms system and procedures Trained as a keyholder/alarm holder for the building and physically opens and closes building when required (early/late shift) The successful candidate needs to have a driving licence and previous experience of undertaking similar duties.
