Our client is a Further Education College offering a wide range of courses to over 5000 full time students and over 5650 part time students each year. The college currently works with over 50 high school partners, welcoming students from Bury and the surrounding areas.

They now have an opportunity available for a Human Resources Business Partner to join them to deliver and develop an excellent human resources service which satisfies the College requirements and is flexible and responsive to customer needs.

Delivering an exceptional recruitment, selection and appointments service, you will prepare and issue relevant HR documents including offer letters, contracts, salary and role changes; ensuring that Payroll is notified of changes and the HR system is updated. Responding to day to day issues and providing advice to managers on probation reviews, maternity, grievances, sickness absence, you must ensure that all procedures relating to the termination of employment are carried out including exit interviews and assist the Director of Human Resources and Customer Services in the development of the College’s self-service computerised module.

You must also attend cross College internal meetings and external events as a Human Resources representative, maintain your knowledge of Human Resource issues and trends and update HR records for all staff, including accurate and timely data input onto the HR System.

Applicants for this role must have a good standard of education, hold a Part or Full CIPD qualification and have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working as part of a human resources team. Familiar with, and capable of using, computerised personnel databases / systems, you must have had previous involvement in recruitment and selection processes and have provided advice and support to managers on a wide range of people related issues.

An up to date knowledge of employment legislation and employment trends, good IT skills (Word, Excel and Databases) and the ability to work to deadlines under pressure are all essential for the position.
