Financial Crime Consultant required to join an established consumer finance business based in Leeds. This is a 6 month interim assignment to support the Head of Financial Crime in ensuring effective controls are in place, influencing and challenging the business units in demonstrating compliance with all requisite rules and regulations in relation to financial crime prevention.
Further duties will include;
* Advise the business on how to identify, and mitigate, potential financial crime risks and provide recommendations to stakeholders on best practice
* Regularly reviewing mandatory training, policies and procedures to help embed a culture of responsible financial crime risk management
* Deputise for the Head of Financial Crime Prevention (HoFCP) where appropriate
* Ensure that a flow of appropriate and accurate Management Information is received, and forms an integral part of reporting to the FCA
* Oversee all internal suspicious activity reports and make recommendations to the HoFCP where external disclosures may be required
* Provide regular and accurate input to regulatory horizon scanning identifying potential risks and issues
* Maintain the role of SME when any financial crime related Breaches or Requests for Advice are received by Group Compliance analysing and replying to any requests within the stipulated SLA's
Experience & Skills Required;
* Good understanding of regulatory compliance, especially in relation to FCA, Financial Crime, Terrorism Financing and Anti-Money Laundering
* Recent Consumer Finance industry experience is a must
* Experience of interpreting new and existing regulations and/or business changes and identifying actions the business is required to undertake to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
* Demonstrable experience in preparing and delivering compliance updates/reports for the business
