GDPR specialist required to join a large mutual society based in the East Midlands. 6 month interim assignment to support to the Senior Compliance Manager in ensuring the business receives correct advice and guidance on GDPR and to influence the project group in its decision making process.
Further duties will include;
* Monitoring and interpreting the guidance and rules provided by ICO and the Article 29 working party on GDPR
* Provide pragmatic, quality and timely ad hoc advice to the GDPR project and all areas of the organisation to ensure all new initiatives comply with the GDPR
* Help to define and embed a Privacy by Design culture in preparation for GDPR
* Review and refresh data privacy notices in preparation for GDPR
* Review and refresh relevant policies and procedures in preparation for GDPR
* Keep abreast of GDPR policy developments and appropriately update relevant parties accordingly
* developing privacy impact assessment process - from the proof-of-concept stage and beyond
* Responsible for supporting the delivery of the businesses GDPR Compliance arrangements
Skills & Experience required;
* Expert knowledge of GDPR and the Data Protection act
* Expert knowledge and application of compliance with UK, EU and Global Data Protection and Privacy laws
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Data Protection role - the role is expert level in and requires the ability for interpretation of specific regulation and legislation
* Experience of working with the ICO and similar regulatory organizations.
