JOB TITLE: Teacher of Music - Part time, permanent
SALARY & BENEFITS: .62 fte, part time (Unqualified Pay Range / Main Pay Range / Upper Pay Range)
THE SCHOOL: We are delighted to be working with a highly successful oversubscribed, 11-18 Academy school, set in the heart of the Lake District. The school is a National Teaching School and in their most recent Ofsted inspection were rated "outstanding" under every category.
THE ROLE: We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented individual who will inspire and challenge young people to enable them to develop into highly effective independent learners to achieve their potential as individuals.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an experienced and exciting department which is held in high regard by pupils. The successful applicant will require a relevant good honours degree (or equivalent)
The successful candidate will be able to teach Music across the age and ability range at KS3, 4 and to teach Sixth Form students to Oxbridge entry level (the department offers an A-Level in Music Technology)
Key experience essential for the role:
• Good honours degree or equivalent in Music / Music Technology or equivalent.
• Ability to teach Music up to and including GCSE and RSL Level 3.
• Capacity to motivate, encourage and inspire pupils of all abilities to achieve the highest standards.
• Ability to play a musical instrument to a professional standard.
• Ability to teach Music Technology to a high level including the use of a recording studio and live sound.
