The Role

The Centre for Hospitality offers a wide range of learning opportunities for students who wish to work in the hospitality industry. Within this Centre there is full-time provision across the sector plus work based learning provision providing training in the workplace for Hospitality. We are seeking to appoint a part-time hourly paid Lecturer in Hospitality to join our professional team.

You will teach across a range of courses and levels; and in your role you will play a key part in helping our learners achieve the highest possible standards. In addition, as part of a curriculum team you will contribute to course promotion, delivery, planning, development and student support. Within the Centre there are also two catering outlets which you will take an active part in supporting.

Ideally we are looking for a qualified and experienced teacher though competent and enthusiastic individuals willing to work towards a teaching qualification will be considered. Qualified to at least level 3 in Patisserie and professional Cookery, you should have experience of working within a Hospitality setting and of delivering training to groups in the 14 - 19 age group. Experience of Internal Verification and of being a personal tutor would be an advantage.

A strong awareness of current developments within the hospitality curriculum and relevant industrial experience is essential. You will also possess an Assessors award A Unit or equivalent or be willing to work towards one.
