We are looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant to work with students within an alternative setting with early years and primary aged students.
The school provides an alternative education setting for students from Reception to Key Stage 2 who are outside of mainstream school for a variety of reasons, including medical, behaviour, and complex mental health needs.
As a Behaviour Support Assistant you will be involved in working with a particular class and also with individual students. You will work alongside teachers and other support staff to help deliver tailored lessons that meet the specific needs of the students and their needs. You will actively support the students with academic development and also support social and behavioural expectations.
Assignments within the school will be responsive to the intake of new students, which can fluctuate throughout the year. Most assignments will require you to be able to work on a long term basis 5 days per week.

Experience of working with students with challenging behaviour
A passion for their work and ability to inspire
A calm and considered approach to work with children
Experience of working within and Primary or Early Years setting
Knowledge of how to work effectively with students with SEN
